F.P. Journe
François-Paul Journe founded his company, Montres Journe SA, in Geneva in 1999, signing each of his creations F.P. Journe Invenit et Fecit. Born in 1957 in Marseilles and a graduate of the Paris Watchmaking School, François-Paul Journe completed his first constant-force tourbillon pocket watch in 1982. After setting up as an independent watchmaker in Paris in 1985, he built an astronomical (planetary) pocket watch then, for Asprey’s in London, a sympathique clock.
